How Many Horses Do You Need to House?
Something we learned during the FL GA SC hurricane - horse farms around Tryon that already have good barns with stalls for lots of horses are hard to find! Within a 10 mile radius of TIEC, most farms have only 4-6 stalls. Biggest has 35, two others can hold 15 or 20. Very low number of farms to choose from - prices increasing and it's hard to find places with all the right ingredients.

About the House and the Furniture
Our work at Around Tryon Properties isn’t just about buying, selling or renting houses - we take on the ‘whole client’ and help with the entire process - not just the house. The stuff and the memories and the stories and the value of the stuff are much more complicated, and personal. We understand this issue can be very heavy and are happy to help shepherd our clients through the stages from just thinking about it to getting it done.
My favorite room: The sunporch as a peaceful oasis
Everybody has a favorite room in their house where they end up spending most of their time. If you’re lucky, you have many rooms to choose as your favorite. This sunporch room is perfect.
Outsmarting the Average Bear
Living in a small town in the mountains is super beautiful and really fun, but there are a few things we’ve had to learn such as how to outsmart the average bear. Even in town (we have many acres of lush woods downtown) we have giant 6’ tall bear neighbors who walk around at night looking for trash to snack on.
On the Fence about Selling your Home?
We do more than just buy and sell houses. We’ve got a team to help plan and organize the whole process, from pricing and advising on worthwhile repairs, to spreading the word on social media, managing safe showings, packing, moving and closing.
Are You Rich Yet?
These days I live in an ultra beautiful tiny town in WNC. I definitely feel rich with healthy family and a super interesting life in a beautiful peaceful place. Lots of friends and friendly real people, and no traffic. Grateful and rich just to be here.
Mountain Views – History in Front of Us.
There's a lot of cool history around Tryon. Still in front of our eyes and under our feet. This 'back yard' has a spectacular view of Warrior Mountain and Tryon Peak.
Selling Equine Properties Creates Unique Challenges
Horse properties create two unique challenges: first, they tend to be more expensive than your typical residential home because they have more land and structures like a barns and arenas on the property. Second, horse properties require a buyer with a specific interests and needs.
